LingVitae is developing a unique and groundbreaking DNA preparation technology - the Design Polymer Concept. Due to its unique features and many advantages, an implementation of this technology can for some companies significantly increase the chances of successful SMS.  For some 3rd generation read out platforms, the Design Polymer technology can be an important key as to whether they succeed in the SMS race or not. 

Based on the potential of this technology, LingVitae intends to launch its strategic partnership program as soon as the company has developed a working prototype of it first product DNA EXPLORER SYSTEM. The purpose of the program is to form strategic partnerships with a limited group of dedicated SMS companies, in order to empower their advanced DNA read out platforms with advanced DNA preparation technology.       

Despite the fact LingVitae's Partner Program is not fully developed yet, the company is positive to engage in preliminary conversations with companies/environments that want to explore if they can benefit from the Design Polymer technology as soon as it is commercialized.

The optimal sequence and labeling of each code unit in the Design Polymer will vary for each individual SMS-technology. The first step in our partnership will thus involve a close interaction between our R&D teams seeking to find the optimal design of the Design Polymer parameters for your read-out platform from a theoretical point of view. Parameters to evaluate includes:

a.        Size of code units

b.        Sequence composition of code units

c.        Single or double stranded DNA

d.     Choice of labels

Having identified a few candidates for code unit design from a theoretical point of view, the next step will be several rounds with extensive empirical testing. LingVitae will make and provide our partner with test Design Polymers for empirical testing. In the first test rounds we will provide test Design Polymers with simple patterns, such as 1-0-1-0-1-0-1-0-1 and 1-1-0-0-1-1-0-0-1-1, and of various lengths. Finally, we will provide Design Polymers obtained by converting real genomic targets such as prokaryotic and eukaryotic genomes and transcriptomes and other RNA molecules.
 

The industrial design of the conversion protocol and the lab-on-a-disk solution must be modified according to the specifications we have obtained from step 1 and step 2, and LingVitae will thus modify the Design Polymer products and provide our partner with a few working prototypes for test purposes. The working prototypes can be used for in-house testing at our partner’s own facilities and/or be installed with preferred customers.
 

As soon as we have obtained positive test results for the working prototypes and agreed upon production volumes LingVitae and its sub-providers will make the necessary adaptations of manufacturing lines and initiate production of a DNA EXPLORER tailor made for your product package.
